"Rīgas satiksme" calls for mutual politeness and tolerance

On July 3 "Rīgas satiksme" starts a social campaign calling on passengers to be mutually polite, tolerant and understanding. During the campaign, posters will be placed inside public transport vehicles and at public transport stops, with passengers from different social groups telling what makes their trips in public transport nice, thus urging other passengers to think about mutual understanding in public transport.

Hilda and Tālivaldis (see the picture) say that they have nice trips when vehicles are emptier and there are free seats. A young mother, Agnese, is happy about low-floor public transport vehicles and calls on passengers not to occupy the space designated for a baby carriage. Aivars, in turn, likes to go by public transport when people are not crowding at the entrance, are not noisy and do not disturb others.

The campaign will last until the end of the summer. During the campaign "Rīgas satiksme" will focus on how drivers, ticket inspectors, operators of customer service centres and other employees communicate with clients when fulfilling their official duties.

The author of the campaign’s photos is Ilmārs Znotiņš. "Rīgas satiksme" thanks "Māmiņu Klubs" and society "Rīgas aktīvo senioru alianse (RASA)" for their support in developing the campaign, as well as wishes every passenger "More nice trips!".
